Men need help too. This is a page dedicated to supporting men who may need some support or help.

In 2022 the office for national statistics published a report on suicides in the UK.    Around 3/4 of the suicides registered were male. Men aged  45-49 were identified as the 2nd highest age range in men to commit suice with those aged 90+ being the highest.   There is support out there for men but I found out recently it is not as easy to find that support for men.  We as a  surgery felt we needed to help spread the message that there is support for men whatever you are going through you are not alone.

77% of men polled  by The Priory Group  said they experience some level of symptoms of mental health such as anxiety, stress or depression.

Only 36% of all NHS referrals for psychological therapies are for men. Men are less likely to seek help for their mental health.

52% Would be concerned about taking time off work, whilst 46% would be embarrassed or ashamed to tell their employer. (Men's Health Forum)

Suicide Is the leading cause of death for men under the age of 50 in the UK. (Calm Zone)

75% Of deaths by suicide are males, and they are three times more likely to die by suicide than women.
